Office of Customs & Emotional Transit

Some Belong by Documentation. Some by Showing Up Again.

Belonging permits, emotional declarations, and the paperwork of return.

We process arrivals, departures, and the harder category in between: coming back after being away. Every traveler must declare what they are carrying. Most declare "a lot." We stamp it and wave them through.

Sub-Offices

Belonging Permit Desk

Issues documentation that you are, in fact, part of this. Renewals automatic. Lost permits replaced on sight.

Emotional Declarations

Logs what travelers are carrying inside. "Nervous but hopeful" is the most common entry. It is always accepted.

Re-Entry After Absence

Handles the delicate case of returning. No questions about where you've been. Soup at the gate.

Support Sardine Policy

Authorizes emotional-support sardines for anxious crossings. The sardines take the job seriously.

Migration Records

Maintains the ledger of everyone who has ever passed through. No one is ever removed from it.

The Slow Lane

A dedicated line for travelers who need a minute. Unlimited minutes. No line behind you.

Lost & Found

Where misplaced things (and the occasional napping seal) wait to be claimed. Nothing here is ever gone for good. [OPEN LOST & FOUND]

Declarations Policy

  • All feelings are declarable. None are confiscated.
  • A traveler returning is a traveler arriving. Stamp accordingly.
  • "I'm not sure I still belong here" is met with a permit, pre-approved.
  • Lost seals are found. This is policy, not hope. (It is also hope.)
