Any Day Can Be Observed

Invented holidays, small ceremonies, and the calendar that keeps them.

We believe a station survives on its rituals as much as its repairs. So we invent holidays, hold small ceremonies, and remember the days that matter to the creatures aboard. None are mandatory. Most involve soup. All are sincere.

Sub-Offices

Calendar Office

Maintains the Holiday & Ritual Calendar. Adds new holidays the moment one is clearly needed.

Small Ceremonies

Runs the tiny rites that hold a station together: welcomes, farewells, and the lighting of the soup.

The Apology Cake Division

Bakes the cake that accompanies a sincere apology. Recipe classified. Demand steady.

Ritual Standards

Ensures every ritual stays warm, brief, and optional. Length is the enemy of meaning.

Anniversary Remembrance

Quietly remembers the days that matter to each crew member. Never forgets a return.

Spontaneous Celebration

Authorized to declare a holiday on no notice if morale requires it. Frequently does.

Holiday Conventions

  • Any day can be observed. You do not need a reason, only a bowl.
  • No holiday is mandatory. Rest is a gift, not a duty.
  • An apology holiday comes with cake. This is non-negotiable.
  • When in doubt, declare a small celebration. The station can take it.
