Internal Communications Office

Please Read. Some of This Is Important.

Memo boards, clarifications, apologies, and documents that became culture.

We are responsible for every notice pinned to every board on the station. Most are reminders. Some are apologies. A few, against all intention, became beloved. We keep them all, because a station remembers itself through its memos.

Sub-Offices

Notices & Reminders

The daily flow: soup schedules, hallway advisories, gentle nudges. "Do not name emergency equipment" originated here.

Clarifications Desk

Issues the follow-up memo that explains the first memo. Occasionally issues a third.

Office of Sincere Apologies

Drafts apologies that mean it. Has retired the phrase "mistakes were made" entirely.

Accidental Culture Unit

Archives the memos that outgrew their purpose and became sayings the whole station now repeats.

Board Maintenance

Keeps the pins stocked and the corners flat. A crooked memo is a memo unread.

The Suggestion Slot

Receives anonymous notes. Every one is read aloud, kindly, at the weekly gathering.

Memo Conventions

  • Keep communicating. Keep caring. Keep showing up.
  • Important, small, and weird memos all count. Post accordingly.
  • An apology memo gets the best spot on the board.
  • If a notice becomes a saying, it graduates to the Accidental Culture Unit with honors.

Memo Drafting Terminal

Need a memo? The Office can draft one instantly. Re-roll until it feels right, then copy it to your board.
