Soup Infrastructure Office

Soup Is Serious Business

Thermal care distribution and the architecture of morale.

Soup is not a meal. Soup is infrastructure. It is how the station tells its crew, in liquid form, that they are accounted for. We maintain the pots, the routes, and the dignity of the ladle.

Sub-Offices

Thermal Care Distribution

Routes warm soup to cold corners of the station on a published schedule. Emergency deliveries authorized for sad penguins.

Emergency Reserve Vault

Maintains the strategic soup stockpile. Rotated weekly. Tasted daily. For science. [VENDING UNIT ONLINE]

Ladle Accountability Board

Tracks the ceremonial ladle. It is never to be left in the sink. This has been violated exactly once.

Communal Bowl Program

Soup is not a solo sport. Organizes shared meals where the only requirement is showing up.

Broth Research Lab

Develops new comfort formulas. Current frontier: a broth that tastes like being forgiven.

Spill Response

Rapid, non-judgmental cleanup. Every member of staff has spilled. It is part of the culture.

Soup Protocols

  • Soup is offered, never imposed. A "no thank you" is logged with respect.
  • The ladle returns to its hook. Always. This is non-negotiable.
  • When morale drops, increase soup before increasing meetings.
  • If a bowl is refused, leave it nearby anyway. Sometimes the soup waits better than we do.
