Chapter 2 of 11Station Etiquette
Walk when possible. Slide only where posted. Repair what you can.
Etiquette aboard the station is less about rules and more about leaving each shared space a little kinder than you found it. Here is the short version everyone is expected to know.
Shared Spaces
Corridors, galleys, and gathering rooms belong to everyone, which means they require everyone's small attention. Push in your chair. Wipe the ladle. Leave the last bowl for someone who looks like they need it more than you do.
Volume & Presence
Seals run loud; penguins run quiet. Neither is wrong. Match the room when you can, and when you cannot, announce yourself kindly. A simple "I'm a lot today" is a complete and accepted sentence.
Core Courtesies
- Walk when possible. Slide only where posted (see the Sliding chapter).
- Greet the creature at the desk. They have been there a while.
- If you move something, return it. If you break something, say so.
- A held door is a small act of infrastructure. Hold the door.
